July was here and passed by so fast. The fourth this year was a first for us. Evansville has been so dry that we were not able to set off fireworks. We spent the day like normal and went to my parents and cooked out but no fireworks. With Brittanie being at her Dad's house we took Eva to the river for the city fireworks. As most of you know Eva is not a fan of fireworks but they are nothing to be afraid of so we try and try to let her know that. Well, she was ok with them but quickly found my lap then went from watching to head down in my lap. The fireworks were good and made me of course think of how great our country is, and how Great our God is!!
The rest of the month some how flew by, I did get a part time job working for a gentleman that attends our church. He is running for judge in family court. I at first was just about getting a part-time job but of course God had a hand in it. I truly believe that what he wants to do in family court is great. After being in a divorce and have been through so hard times with Britt along the way, I think that change is necessary! The job is only til November so we will see what happens from that.
August is here and of course that means Eric's Birthday, Our Anniversary, and back to school. Since we are going to surprise Eric today I am not spoiling any surprise by telling you we bought him golf tees, balls, and a pass for 12 large baskets at the driving range. He has been playing golf a little this summer and we bought him clubs for fathers day so we are excited to give him his gift. Guys are so hard to buy for anyway.
So today we are dropping Britt off at a cheer car wash and then running errands. I love Saturdays yet know we are going to be busy... so off I go. Until next time I want to leave you with a verse that has been resonating with me the last two weeks.
2 Kings 4:30 But the child's mother said, "As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So he got up and followed her.
